With a passion for dance and in particular, the ballet, I have set up an online dance magazine comprising of reviews and features with the aim of reaching out to people from different backgrounds who wouldn't necessarily consider going to the ballet. Unfortunately, there are many stereotypes associated with ballet. Many assume it's an elitist art form, that it's girly and that it's expensive. I want to show people of all ages that ballet is a current and cool visual art that can be enjoyed by everyone. This is an important time for dance, with new choreographers throwing the rule book out of the window and choosing to create art that pushes the boundaries and I can't think of a better time to get involved. My aim is to get you reading about ballet, going to see performances live, enjoying the world of dance and appreciating what it can offer you.
